In the spring of 2004, five intrepid friends and our crew made the trek to the vast farmlands of Argentina. Each sought the coaching advice of two-time World Champion and former gamekeeper John Woolley while enjoying some of the best dove hunting grounds in the world.

John Woolley’s coaching advice covered the full range of shooting techniques and proved to be as diverse as each man’s shooting experience.

Shotgun Coaching from Argentina” is the result of our two-year effort to produce a high-quality video that teaches the concepts taught during that tour. When we began the process, we assumed it would be sufficient to just edit together the highlights. But as we got deeper and deeper into the fundamentals being illustrated, we decided to enhance John’s in-the-field instruction with a narrated sound track, special effects and 3D animation. The finished product has been called “the clearest explanation of shotgun shooting I have ever seen” (R.W. Butler, critic).

Wolley's Six Rules

Use this video to sharpen your skills and discover new methods for focusing on your target.

Learn why your stance always affects your move and mount sequence.

Find out how correct hand positioning facilitates a clean smooth gun mount.

The depth of this video makes it perfect for those who have been shooting for years.

But the scope of the video makes it also perfect for those who are just starting out.

Read a couple of recent reviews:

"This is the explanation of shotgun shooting that I have been looking for and the best shooting video that I have seen. The animated graphic depiction of the move, mount, shoot process using the rectangle was an "ah-ha" moment. I knew all this stuff ( from taking lessons from John Woolley) but the animation integrated all of the concepts beautifully. Also the bird hunting sequences showing the consequences of lack of focus (waving barrel) and the fix (looking at the details of the target and how the sunlight reflects off it) are great learning tools. I wish I had this before I shot my last tournament."

"I'm pleased to report, the Shotgun Coaching with John Woolley DVD arrived and I've watched it. It is fantastic. I must admit, I first started to watch it on my computer but soon realized,
this production is to big to watch on a small screen. So, I hurried to my DVD player and proceeded to watch on my TV. Wow, what a production... I couldn't turn it off.

"I was entertained and excited while being educated on one of my favorite sports...shooting.
Entertained and excited with elusions of being in the fields right along with your group. It was the next best thing to being there and much better than how such an experience can be imagined. Educated, by the lessons and shooting instructions for improved target success.
I feel the instructions can be applied equally for live game and all clay target disciplines.
I especially liked the live eye cam shots along with the animation which allowed depth of perception and visualization.

"Thanks for doing such a great DVD. The production value emphasizes quality work and dedication to detail. All of which is aimed at capturing methods to make each who chooses to watch, better sport shooters. You certainly accomplished your goals."
